The other night we were seated next to a table of 4, possibly north indians who spoke with an accent. The commotion was loud. Apparently one of their drinks was served wrongly and demanded to be replaced. A look across, the glass was almost empty. Seemed like the diva only realized the missing mint in her vodka after drinking 150ml of it.
It is not easy being in customer service and I often empathize with the service crew especially in F&B and call centres. They should have experienced more bad hair days than any of us. So, be nice to them. It is unnecessary to display that 30 secs of demand and bitch arrogance just because one is a customer. Are customers always right? No.
The world needs more doses of patience, kindness and understanding and as what Ellen Degeneres always say, “Be kind to one another.”
