On my whatsapp status I’d scribbled Divenire – Ludovico Einaudi.
Divenire in English means “become”. This is also one of my favourite pieces of his compositions and I’ve been listening to it quite frequently since. To me, I interpret this piece as life, “to become in life”.
Similar to life, the piece starts off with a simple melody and it gradually develops into something more intricate. It has tones of simplicity, nonchalance, melancholy, explorations, pursues, determination and continuation. Along the way we encounter setbacks, we learn and we pick up shards. It is a misconception that scar tissues are stronger. No, they are not. They are tender and weaker than healthy ones.
It is the experiences and ultimately trauma that give us insights. We gain knowledge, decipher, evaluate what’s best for us and move. If death is not in the mentioned, we will become wiser, stronger and more cautious.
Mind is always over matter. This is how we learn.
